On October 2, 2025, our community gathered for a truly special evening at The Union in Oroville. The Childhood Cancer Fundraiser Dinner was more than an event; it was a reflection of love, compassion, and the power of people coming together for a shared purpose.
From the moment guests arrived, the atmosphere was filled with warmth and connection. Friends, families, and neighbors joined us to support children and families facing extraordinary medical challenges. As plates of creamy Alfredo pasta were served with grilled chicken or tender steak, fresh garden salad, and a decadent dessert, conversations filled the room and laughter spread from table to table.
The evening featured beautiful performances from the Children’s Orchestra and the dancers of Strive Dance Studio. Their heartfelt music and movement captured the spirit of Avalynn’s Hope Foundation and reminded us that even in difficult times, courage and beauty can shine through.
Guests also took part in raffles and silent auctions, sharing smiles and excitement as prizes were announced. Every raffle ticket and every donation added to an incredible total. Thanks to the generosity of our community, the event raised $13,090.50 to support families caring for medically fragile and disabled children.
We are deeply moved by the compassion and kindness that filled the room. The funds raised will directly help families with essential needs, medical expenses, and moments of comfort during uncertain times. Each contribution represents hope, strength, and the belief that no family should face these challenges alone.

This gathering reminded us why Avalynn’s Hope Foundation exists.
